As the licensor of Hello Kitty, the Sanrio team responds to more than 10,000 requests from product manufacturers every year. Each request is managed by few people and via a series of manually intensive “paper processes”. Thus, efficient search and retrieval of information associated with these requests is difficult.

the solution:

Amauta Tech designed and developed a Licensing Approval Management System for Sanrio to more efficiently manage licensing requests. The secure web-based system makes the status of a request visible, provides varying levels of participation and provides time alerts to keep a project on track.

the result:

The new system enables team members to collaborate in a more integrated way. Licensees and Sanrio creative and traffic staff can now access project information from anywhere at any time. Legacy information from the previous application was also migrated and integrated into the new system supporting ongoing, seamless operations.
